Mia Mengel has been studying law at the University of Zurich since September 2021. In the spring semester of 2024, she received the Orelli Award for her bachelor thesis ‘Begging in Liberty - Partial Prohibitions of Begging in the Framework of Non-Discrimination and Freedom of Expression under the ECHR’ supervised by Prof. Dr iur. Dr h.c. Helen Keller and Dr iur. Corina Heri. From 2021 to 2025, she worked as a student and research assistant at the Foundation against Racism and Antisemitism.

Since 1 January 2025, she has been working as a research assistant at the chair of Prof. Keller.
